Georgia Real Property Law Institute
I was pleased to have the opportunity to speak to the several hundred real estate lawyers attending the 41st Annual Georgia Real Property Law Institute on May 11, and to share the many opportunities available to real estate owners and developers, business owners and entrepreneurs, and taxpayers in the Investing in Opportunity Act. The event capped seven Opportunity Zone events for me over the course of three weeks – a national conference, a statewide conference, two local conferences, speaking events, and client meetings. There is significant excitement about the program and a few real projects coming together in Coastal Georgia.

Though many of the projects are real estate substantial improvement projects at this point, I anticipate that owners of new, relocating, or expanding businesses will soon recognize the significant benefits offered to them by locating in an Opportunity Zone, which will add investment and jobs in these areas.
